The safety of our students and our staff is of utmost importance to us.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have devised a plan, to ensure we are always following the most up-to-date advice from the government. Our music camps will include some additional obligations in order to provide a safe and happy environment for all involved. We will facilitate hourly handwashing and all musical activities throughout the camp will be delivered according to official regulations.
We are committed to providing a fulfilling, friendly and fun camp to all of our students, and are very much looking forward to getting started.
Our music camps are expected to go ahead this year, subject to the latest available advice from the government and other relevant authorities. We are in the process, in collaboration with our COVID officer, of making a clear set of guidelines for hosting a series of fun and educational music camps, and the guidelines are under very regular review.
Due to the ever-changing nature of the situation, and the associated Governmental advice, we will continue to monitor events nationally and internationally and we will modify our guidelines on an ongoing basis in compliance with all safety requirements.
In the event that a camp needs to be cancelled, relevant fees will be refunded.
Additional Obligations include the following:
Reduced Camp Numbers
We have limited numbers this year to a maximum of 15 students per group/bubble at Level 3 & 4 restrictions, and 5 students per group/bubble at Level 5 restrictions. This is in line with governmental advice on gatherings. Numbers will be revised as more up to date information becomes available.
The students will be divided into age-appropriate groups in designated spaces across the campus. The students will only meet as a big group in the outdoors area during break times if permitted, when social distancing will be monitored by camp leaders.
Students will have a specific drop-off and collection times depending on age. We will communicate times with parents in the week before the camp begins.
Last Day Finale
An outdoor performance & dance competition will take place on the last day in place of the Finale Group Concert. We will move any live performance to an Online format should guidelines change in accordance with any change of restrictions.
All rooms will be cleaned and sanitised thoroughly twice a day during the camp. All surfaces and instruments will be sanitised - including door handles, sinks, taps, flush handles, etc - more frequently as needed. All students and camp leaders must wash their hands every hour.
In the event of sickness
If your child is unwell or has a temperature, please do not send them to camp.
If your child has been in contact with someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 within 14 days, please do not send them to camp.
In the event of a child becoming unwell during camp, a parent or guardian will be asked to collect them as soon as possible, and the child will be looked after in a separate room, away from the other camp-goers while they await collection.
Full information will be sent out to all participants before the camp begins.
