Meet The Team
Camp Leaders
Our team of music educators are professional, qualified, and experienced tutors. They are passionate about providing children with fun-filled musical education.
Each camp will be staffed by multiple teachers, camp leaders, group leaders and helpers, all of whom are specialists in various aspects of music. Our teachers are carefully selected to facilitate the widest range of musical experiences, from multi-instrumentalists to conductors, rock musicians to composers, choral singers to operatic soloists.
The Sounds Good! Music Camp enriches children of all ages with the love of music.



Daniel O'Driscoll
Camp Leader
Daniel is a multi-instrumentalist, currently teaching guitar, bass, drums and banjo. He recently completed a BA in Applied Music from DkIT, and has amassed a wealth of experience performing in traditional, jazz and contemporary styles of music. Along with session work, Daniel also plays in several bands, and has played shows extensively across the country.
Daniel's kind and compassionate brand of teaching is exactly right for encouraging and helping our campers to get the most out of their camp experience.
Richard Molloy
Camp tutor
Richard is a composer, educator and multi-instrumentalist with a special interest in music teachnology. He has a B.Ed in Primary Education, an MA in Music & Technology as well as PhD in Music Composition.
Richard writes contemporary scores, programmes performance software, produces music in Ableton Live and tours nationally as a bassist & drummer.
Richard is passionate about music education and helps to design workshops and activities for our camp students what are accessible, multifaced and student-centred.
Ciara Rooney
Junior Camp Leader
Ciara is an award winning singer and dancer, and a trained primary school teacher.
Ciara has performed around Ireland and Europe in some of Ireland's most prestigious vocal ensembles. She has won awards at home and abroad for classical choral music, contemporary.
Ciara specialises in Early Years Music and has a wonderful way of inspiring our youngest students.

Michael T. Dawson
Director
Michael is founder of Sounds Good! Music Camps, setting up the first ever course in 2009. He is Director of Fingal International Festival of Voices, Fingal Academy of Music and the Irish Institute of Music and Song (IIMS).
Michael is a highly sought-after educator and prize-winning conductor who has toured the world. He studied music education for 3 years in Los Angeles and will soon be a Doctor of Music!

Rebecca Gilbert
Camp Manager & Junior Camp Leader
Rebecca makes sure everyone knows where to go and when! She's your point of contact for bookings and information and helps make each camp run smoothly.
Rebecca is the Head of our Early Years Music Program at the IIMS and she specialises in teaching music to young children. Her inspiring and fun pre-instrumental classes are in huge demand with 8 different classes running each week.
Rebecca is an award-winning singer, flautist and conductor. She directs the Fingal Children's Choir and the fabulous Blingmasters barbershop chorus.

Sarah May Rogers
Camp Leader &
violin Tutor
Sarah is founder of Cadence Music, Dublin and has 20 years of experience in the music industry. She teaches violin, piano, tin whistle and traditional fiddle and also performs regularly at events and shows across Ireland and abroad.
Sarah oversees activities at our Balbriggan and Malahide camps and loves teaching groups using her amazing violin skills. She also teaches guitar, ukulele, percussion and singing amongst other things. She is also known to call a céilí for the kids!
